How to print Aadhaar, PAN or any ID card front and back on one page

Banks, colleges, landlords and offices often ask for a copy of your Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID or driving licence with the front and back on one page. Here is how to make that copy from your phone, at the real card size, without making a PDF yourself.

What you need

• A clear photo or scan of the front of the card, and one of the back.
• Or the PDF you downloaded, for example an e-Aadhaar. Each page of a PDF can be used like a photo.

Step by step

1. Open the order page and tap Arrange photos on a page.
2. Tap Add photos or PDF and choose the front and the back.
3. Pick the layout ID card, both sides. The two spaces are exactly 85.6 × 54 mm, the size of a real card.
4. Tap a card on the page, then Crop and zoom. Drag and zoom until only the card shows, with no table or background around it. Use Turn if the photo is sideways.
5. Switch on Cutting lines if you want to cut the copies out.
6. Tap Add to order, then choose black & white or colour, and how many copies you need.

Several people on one sheet

Need copies of a whole family's cards? Choose 8 ID cards. That puts eight real-size cards on one A4 sheet, for example the front and back of four people.

Tips for a clean copy

• Photograph the card on a dark, plain surface in daylight, holding the phone straight above it.
• Avoid glare on the hologram by tilting the card slightly away from the light.
• For Aadhaar, many offices accept the masked Aadhaar, which hides the first eight digits of your number.
• Black & white is cheaper and is accepted almost everywhere. Choose colour when a form asks for it.
• Want a sturdy card instead of a paper copy? Order a PVC card, which is printed on plastic like an ATM card.

Is it safe?

The designer works inside your browser, so your photos leave your phone only when you add the page to your order. Your files are seen only by the staff who print them, and are deleted after the order, as explained in our privacy policy. Only print documents that are your own or that you have permission to copy.
